Itinerary

Day 1- Arrive Uganda

Upon arrival at the Entebbe International Airport you will be met by our guide. Having passed immigration and luggage collection, please exit the arrival hall and look out for your guide who will be holding up a signboard mentioning your name. Transfer to your hotel in Kampala, about 45minutes, depending on traffic. Overnight at the Humura Resort (Bed & Breakfast only).

Day 2 - Transfer to Kibale Forest

Today we will drive 6 -7 hours to Kibale Forest National Park via Fort Portal. You will see “Everyday Life” East African style. At Fort Portal we will stop for a roadside lunch before continuing to the lodge that lay beautifully nestled in the mountains with a beautiful array of craters.

Day 3 - Chimpanzee tracking today & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth Np

After an early breakfast we will drive to Kibale Forest for the morning session of Chimp tracking. At the park headquarters after briefing, head for Chimpanzee tracking and also look out for forest birds. Enjoy the lunch break and after a swamp walk, for birders this is another paradise whereby it’s blessed with unique birds that are picturesque. Later then check out and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park for overnight stay.

Day 4 - Elizabeth National Park

Start today with an optional morning session Chimpanzee tracking in Kalinzu or Kyambura gorge. Track the noisy chimps and other primates crashing around through the high canopy of the forest with colorful birds squawking nearby or elephants among a lot other wildlife with. Alternatively, morning game drive to the Uganda Kobs mating grounds, on a lucky day may find Lions hunting. Also look out for more game like Hippopotamus, Lions, Warthogs and a lot of bid life. Later after lunch take a boat cruise on the Kazinga channel. The ride is about 2hours and look out for more wild life as they throng the water banks puffing and huffing away.

Day 5 - Transfer to Bwindi

Game drive this morning as we drive out the park. Either drive via Ishasha in Queen Elizabeth, home of the tree-climbing lion, roads permitting, or take the alternative route through cultivated expanses of Bushenyi area. Time permitting, go for a short stroll around the Lodge or explore the around the lodge.

Day 6 - Gorilla tracking today

Trek up steep densely forested hills before finally coming across the gorillas camouflaged in the vegetation. An exciting and inspiring moment! Tracking in Bwindi requires stamina and can often take most of the day. Enjoy a leisurely nature or community walk.

Day 7 - Transfer to Lake Mburo

Today we drive to Lake Mburo National Park. Lunch will be in Mbarara town then later drive ahead to Lake Mburo national Park. Arrive to an evening game drive for Zebras, Buffaloes, a variety of antelopes and hippopotamus. Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

Day 8 - Game in Lake Mburo & Departure

This morning, may engage in optional activities to include walking safari, morning game drive or viewing game on a horseback (at extra). Later we trace our way back to Kampala with a stop at the Equator. We drive ahead with lunch break at a town of convenience; depending on your flight time will transfer to Entebbe international airport, Check-in time has to be at least 2hours before departure time. In the hall way after check in are some duty free shops at your disposal.
