Itinerary

Day 1 Mwanza - Serengeti

Drive on a tarmac road from Mwanza to Ndabaka gate. Explore the western corridor zone, observing masses of residents in their natural habitats. Stop at the Grumeti River and Retima hippo pool where hippos and giant Nile crocodiles can be found in abundance. Travel further to Seronera area where animals can be seen in abundance including leopard, prides of lion, packs of spotted hyenas, cheetahs, and many plain animals like buffaloes, topi, hartebeest, wildebeest, waterbucks, elands, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, and numerous species of birds. More than 100 species can be observed in a day. Continue to the Lodge or Tented Camp for dinner and a good night.

Day 2 Serengeti - Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy an early morning game drive in the Serengeti followed by picnic lunch on the way to Ngorongoro Crater. we will proceed to Ngorongoro crater for a game drive, which is the 8th natural wonder of the world and the unique, world famous caldera with the most abundant wildlife. We will descend into the Ngorongoro crater floor. From the comfort of your open-top vehicle, descending down the crater, you will enjoy amazing panoramic view and if you are lucky, you will see the Big five.

The caldera is exhibiting more than 120 species of mammals. We will also visit saline lakes such as lake Magadi, which is a magnet for flamingos and other water birds. We will see pools full of hippos, the endangered East Africa’s last black rhinos including birds such as secretary bird, white stork arriving from Europe during the wet season, kori bustards, crowned cranes and ostriches. It is for sure a landscape of sheer beauty. Another big draw card to this picturesque park is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard, which sometimes requires a trained eye to spot. After the thrills and excitement of the day, you will have a picnic lunch in the park. Thereafter, we will drive back to Tented Camp/ Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3 - Full Day in Lake Eyasi

Early morning we depart to the village for local hunting experience with Hadzabe and Datonga tribes. This is not a mere performance. The bushmen rely on these techniques to survive and you'll need to be very attentive and at times quiet, while they demonstrate their use of locally made poisons in incapacitating the poor creatures on which they depend for survival. We return to your Accommodation for a late breakfast.

After Breakfast you will be introduced to the extraordinary people who belong to an indigenous tribe known as the 'Hadzabe' (hunter-gatherer bushmen). The tribe inhabits the shores of Lake Eyasi as do the Nilotic-speaking Datoga tribe. You will visit these tribes, which will include a visit to their homesteads, learn about their way of life, animal tracking, medicinal plants, and much more. Some wildlife and a wide range of bird species can be viewed during walks around the lake, which can be arranged.

Return for dinner and overnight at the Tented Camp/ Lodge.

Day 4 – Lake Eyasi - Ngorongoro - Serengeti

After Breakfast, Drive to Serengeti National Park We head towards the Serengeti National, Drives over the big Serengeti Park, the Rocks out crop commonly known as Kopjes, pronounced as copy which is Afrikaans language from South Africa meaning “The Spear Head”, harbors allot of animals. These Rocks are breeding sites for Cheetah, Lion, Leopard and Wild Dog. As you visit you’ll see Lions relaxing on top of the rocks, some which were given the name Simba Kopjes, enjoying the sunsets of Serengeti also the best chance to spot nocturnal animals. Afterwards, Continue driving to Tented Camp/ Lodge for dinner and a good night

Day 5 - Serengeti National Park / Mwanza

The day may start with an early morning sunrise game drive (that is before breakfast), or you can take breakfast and then start the day game viewing. We are always flexible on that so that our clients can get what they expected on a safari. After lunch, prepare the journey back to Mwanza while enjoying en route game drives till you get out of the Park through Ndabaka gate. Arriving Mwanza in the late evening.

Day 6: Mwanza to Rubondo

With your breakfast depart at 6.00am for the 4 to 5 hours drive to Rubondo Island National park. Ride a boat for another 30min. Arrive and check in at this beautiful Island in Lake Victoria. After lunch, we will be privileged to do game viewing on foot accompanied by an armed ranger in the middle of African forest. Walk around the beach while learning a lot from our MOTHER NATURE. Have a glance at the schools of hippo. Keep your eyes watching for sitatunga, otters, bushbuck, vervet monkeys. Rare sightings are black and white colobus monkey, genet, marsh mongoose, suni antelope, and elephant. Rubondo Island is a perfect paradise for birding as over 400 species of birds have been seen including African Fish Eagle. Our friendly guide is always happy to share with you about the behind the scene perspectives in this beautiful island and much much more..! Some of Africa's biggest crocodiles bask and lie in wait on the banks of Lake Victoria. This day is also a good time for evening photography. Rubondo island boasts a unique diversity of flora and fauna Dinner and Overnight at the Bandas or Lodge.

Day 7: Rubondo Island ( Lake Excusion )

Half day Game viewing by boat in Lake Victoria.

Depart at 8.00am after breakfast for boat riding in Lake Victoria (depending on weather you may opt to go in the morning or late afternoon).

This is the best experience for game viewing in Lake Victoria as we will be able to reach very remote parts of Lake Victoria. Explore an uncountable number of Nile crocodiles, stop over at the breeding site for birds and observe schools of hippos. Rubondo Island offers an extraordinary experience you can't imagine. Rubondo is another destination in Tanzania where you can also track chimpanzee a part from Gombe and Mahale.

We will walk back to the Bandas/Lodge for our sumptuous meals while enjoying the cool breeze from the Great View of Lake Victoria as well sounds of hippos close to the Bandas/Lodge. Dinner and overnight at the Banda/Lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Rubondo Island to Mwanza city

After enjoying a buffet breakfast, collect your picnic lunch, check out and continue driving to Mwanza. On our way stop Geita town for Lunch. Later after having your lunch continue heading to Mwanza and drop at your hotel .
