Rubondo Island National Park Covering an area of 456.8 Square km, Rubondo Island National Park is the combination of Rubondo Island and other numerous Islands of Lake Victoria and sited on the south-west shoreline of Lake Victoria.

The park is home to the rich variety of butterflies, birdlife, rare Sitatunga, elephants and giraffes. Sometimes extremely endangered amphibious antelope can be spotted escaping from the hunting predators by hiding and camouflaging itself in the lake shore marshes.
