5 DAYS SAFARI MWANZA SERENGETI TO NGORONGORO KILIMANJARO

Day 1

Mwanza/Serengeti

Drive on a tarmac road from Mwanza to Ndabaka gate. Explore the western corridor zone, observing masses of residents in their natural habitats. Stop at the Grumeti River and Retima hippo pool where hippos and giant Nile crocodiles can be found in abundance. Travel further to Seronera area where animals can be seen in abundance including leopard, prides of lion, packs of spotted hyenas, cheetahs, and many plain animals like buffaloes, topi, hartebeest, wildebeest, waterbucks, elands, zebras, gazelles, warthogs, and numerous species of birds. More than 100 species can be observed in a day. Continue to the lodge, or camp, for dinner and a good night.
Day 2

Serengeti/Ngorongoro

Take a leisurely breakfast at the lodge/camp before you proceed with the safari to Ngorongoro Crater. Another option is to wake up early at 6:00 a.m. for sunrise game viewing, which is an advantage to spot night active animals before they retreat to their hiding places. With your lunch boxes taken from the lodge or camp in Serengeti, we’ll drive to Ngorongoro for further game watching. It is here where the rarely seen black rhino makes their home along with prides of lion, spotted hyenas, cheetah, bat eared foxes, jackals, wildebeest, zebra, gazelles, buffaloes, and hippos. The leopard can also be seen at Lerai forest. Ascend and drive to the chosen lodge/camp for a night stop.
Day 3

Ngorongoro/Manyara

Drive southwards towards Lake Manyara National Park via Karatu town. Before you reach the park entry gate, we’ll stop at the view point and observe the whole Manyara Park and its beautiful scenery. Next, we’ll register and enter the park, which is famous for the abundance of primates along with baboon in troops, vervet monkeys, blue or sykes monkeys, and galago (also known as bush babies). Along the shallow lake, you’ll see a lot of water birds, flamingoes, great white pelicans, ducks and geese, teals, and grebes. Next, we’ll visit hot water springs best known as (Maji Moto) and observe volcanic actions. Later in the afternoon, drive to the lodge or camp for leisure time, dinner, and a night stop.
Day 4

Manyara/Tarangire

After a leisurely breakfast at the lodge/camp, we’ll drive towards Tarangire National Park, which is famous for elephants. Hundreds of elephant herds are roaming around Tarangire River, from where the park got its name. Tarangire Park is unique park with some animals that cannot be seen in any other northern tourism circuit, such as bush bucks, lesser kudu, oryx, and tree-climbing Pythons coiling themselves around the fig trees. Other animals are kirk’s dik dik, zebras, wildebeest, lion, leopard, African wild dog, and many more. Evening drive to the Lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 5

Tarangire – Arusha/Mwanza

Take breakfast at the lodge/camp and then head out for morning game drive. Lunch will be taken at the picnic site. After lunch, we’ll leave Tarangire for Arusha, arriving in the late afternoon. If you are driving back to Mwanza, you’ll start the journey soon after breakfast.
